Six years ago, I left Kansas City after twenty years of ministry, unsure of what the future held.

I had dedicated my life to prayer and the teaching of the Word, but then the Lord began to whisper, “Your time here is complete. Will you trust me?”I faced years of uncertainty — moving from Kansas City to Colorado, navigating a global pandemic, and dealing with disappointment when doors I hoped for remained shut. It felt like everything I knew was stripped away, and the only thing left was Jesus.

In that season of silence, the Lord spoke again. In a small Paris apartment overlooking the Seine River, I woke from a powerful dream where a respected leader asked me about my life vision. I immediately blurted out that I wanted to exalt Christ and magnify Him in the nations. With a bright smile and warm laughter, he responded, “Yes, you must take your 501c3 seriously. It is the financial infrastructure to go anywhere at any time for as long as He tells you to exalt Christ!”

This charge changed everything for me, as I had desired to join an existing church or ministry. I wanted to be part of a ministry, not lead one. I awoke with a profound sense of the Lord’s presence in the room and knew that leading Excellencies of Christ was not an option. It was a crucial part of God’s plan. That morning, I said yes.

That yes has become five years of faithfulness — not mine, but His. From living rooms and Zoom calls to churches and conferences worldwide, we’ve seen a growing family of believers encounter the beauty and supremacy of Jesus Christ. Through Known by God, Solus Christus, and countless teachings and prayers, Excellencies of Christ has become a testimony: Jesus is enough. He is beautiful, and He is worthy of the nations’ affections.

These past years haven't been without pain. The crisis at IHOPKC was deeply personal for me. I’ve carried the sorrow of watching the effects of sin and abuse on the Body of Christ. Yet even in the ashes, I have seen the wisdom of the Lord’s leadership as He purifies the Church, restores the broken, and reveals Himself again as the Good Shepherd who never abandons His own.

Today, as I look toward the next five years, my heart burns with renewed vision — to proclaim the excellencies of Christ and His wondrous salvation. To train a generation captivated by His beauty, fearless in love, and rooted in the knowledge of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To build communities of love around Jesus alone.

Every course, sermon, podcast, and gathering we offer is free thanks to this family's generosity — thanks to you. You enable us to share the message of Jesus Christ. For the unbeliever, Christ is salvation. For the believer, He is the wellspring of all joy and peace. As we close out this year, I invite you to stand with us once again.

Let’s make it happen. Let’s make it free. Let’s make it global. Let’s magnify Jesus together.

With love and gratitude,

President, Excellencies of Christ Ministries
