Joshua Spence

Joshua Spence serves as CEO of Excellencies of Christ Ministries, overseeing the day-to-day operations, strategy, and development of resources designed to disciple the nations in the knowledge of Jesus. He works closely with the team and partners to ensure that everything EOC creates remains accessible, Christ-centered, and freely available to individuals, churches, and communities around the world.

Meet the Spences…

Joshua and Melissa Spence met and married in Kansas City, MO, after completing their undergrads. It was in Kansas City where the Spences and Hoods met and formed deep friendships that have lasted for almost a decade. From Kansas City, the Spence family moved to Colorado Springs, CO, where Joshua finished his Master’s of Arts in Theological Studies online from Asbury Theological Seminary, and both Joshua and Melissa stepped into pastoral roles at Boulder Street Church in downtown Colorado Springs. There, they served for two years as the Administrative Pastor and Worship Director, teaching, preaching, leading worship, ministering in the prayer room, and serving the local community. Little did they know that the Lord was bringing that season to a close as he opened the door for Joshua to jump on staff with Excellencies of Christ Ministries, where he now serves as the Chief Executive Officer.

Joshua and Melissa now live in Lexington, KY, and have been blessed with three daughters, Jubilee, Melody, and Liberty.
